Muzac - Page 2 Empty Getting me through Finals

Post  sam Sun Dec 12, 2010 5:56 pm

So I often find/rediscover a new band and listen to the same thing over and over. Right now I've been listening to Pearl Jam and Nirvana. I've never listened to grunge really, but these two bands are good, especially their unplugged albums are awesome. Its interesting because its just repetitive power chords or short riffs with distortion usually, but there are few solos. It is good for studying I think because it is just noisy. Some of their music is too much and sucks, but a lot of it is sweet. All kinda sounds the same though. Also have way too much studying to do for my physics final tomorrow. Probably not going to sleep much. If anyone needs a late night Craft break tonight let me know. I could be down for 1 game breaks at some point.

The best. His music is really catchy and actually is coherent unlike many rappers (if you can even call him one) who just rhyme nonsequiters. Its pretty good and I didn't realize how recent all his stuff is. the songs you've heard though is some of the best, but his other stuff is good too. My favorite is The Prayer

Muzac - Page 2 Empty John McLaughlin & Zakir Hussain

Post  Elio Thu Dec 16, 2010 5:11 pm

Just started listening to some of this: incredibly cool stuff from two neat guys. Zakir, as I understand it, is totally the fucking man. Tabla is also just a crazy instrument—different than all the Western ones.

new gorillaz is out btw
only heard a few tracks so far but pretty good imo. Heavy on chiller instrumentals, reminds me of trip hop

huh, the forums are weird about linking to megaupload, just copy the address and remove the extra space

Lizzie Conner and Alexandra Deane just released music they've been recording for like a year.

http://avemarling.com

This is mostly for Nicky, I guess, although I like Alexandra's songs the best. The first song is about the guy she dated after me but I think one line alludes to me.

Also "Ramparts" is way the best one.
