yeah that does look sweet. a videostore near me is closing and selling all its stuff for 1 dollar VHS , 3 dollar DVDs, so i got last of the mohicans, ben hur, the lawrence of arabia, legends of the fall, pulp fiction, mr. hollands opus, friday, sunshine and brazil. now i just need a vhs player

Mr. Holland's Opus is so good

I've never really gotten into a show as it airs, but I'm gonna try it with Boardwalk Empire. It seems pretty cool. It's supposed to be like The Sopranos 2 but set in Prohibition, which is fine with me because I never saw the Sopranos and I love the twenties. Is anyone else watching it?

Was it actually good? I can't tell if this is a joke

i actually did like the movie. at first it was a joke and we were all just like "oh for the animation and we will be blazed" but then it was actually pretty good. and the animation was of course amazing. i think it would have been a better movie if it were 20 minutes longer. 1.5 hours is pretty short for how epic a scope it went for.

how to train your dragon - awesome, way better than shrek, cartoonish but sweet
the social network - brilliant dialogue, really interesting story, kinda relevant. great performance from the lead. reminds me of ellis at times

Saw Nowhere Boy with Nikki today. It's about an adolescent John Lennon and his interactions with his aunt and mother (who he didn't know for like 15 years) I liked it - it was pretty good, the interactions between John and his friends are really rich - but the pacing was a bit weird in some places. Overall definitely worth seeing i'd say though.
